Surrealistic Period

Many artists even today were inspired by Surrealism which began in the 1920’s after World War II. My favorite artists from this period are Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte but I also enjoy the post-impressionist period with artists such as Henri Rousseau for his interpretation of the wild nature of the jungle. The power of the imagination and how it’s conveyed through surrealism continues to inspire me today.
